If you’re like me, you’re probably wanting to learn more about the different ways to make more money. And, even better, there are ways for you to make money from home.

Whether you are a stay-at-home parent, you are unable to work outside your home, or you simply want more time freedom, remote jobs, and work-from-home jobs can be a great way for you to make money on your terms.

Some online jobs even allow you to work outside of a normal 9-5 job, and can provide supplemental income.

Not all work-from-home jobs are created equal. Some remote jobs require prior experience (sometimes years of experience), and others may only require a small set of skills. Or, nothing at all.

Regardless of your situation, this list of 21 best remote and work-from-home jobs is sure to give any job seekers a few ways to make extra money at home.

Requirements for Work-From-Home Jobs

Most of these remote positions will require access to a computer, and having a personal computer is not only going to make your search for a home career much easier, but most work-from-home jobs require you to have a personal computer.

If you are looking for a high-performing laptop, I highly recommend going with a Macbook Air. I have had my Macbook for over 4 years now, and it is still going strong. The performance speed is great, I can have a bunch of tabs open and multiple programs running and it still performs well.

However, if you are looking for a budget alternative, an HP Chromebook is another good option. This personal computer budget alternative will be able to handle the basic needs you will likely run into for your remote job.

Depending on where or whom you are working for, some jobs may even provide a personal computer for you. If you are on a job search, during your interview, or when you are negotiating your benefits, consider asking your employer about this.

When you work from home, you will also need to have a reliable email address, so setting up a Google Mail account (if you don’t already have one) would be a great way to get started.

You can look for a job posting or job listings on sites like Indeed.com. You can also sign up for an account and receive a job alert to find the best job for you.

Not all of these jobs require a bachelor’s degree, or any sort of technical writing skills, but any degrees or skills you have are important to mention when applying to work for a company. If you are interested in a particular work-from-home job but don’t have the qualifications that a company requires, you may also have the option to become a freelancer.

If you’re interested in Freelancing, sites like Fiverr and Upwork are a great place to set up your online profile so that others can find you.

You can also create your own brand Logo affordably using Fiverr’s Logo Maker.

If you are considering becoming a freelancer of any kind though, you will need to make sure that you are legally protected. This Freelancers Legal Bundle is perfect for photographers, writers, virtual assistants, designers, social media managers, and more.

Online Surveyor

You’ve probably heard of online surveys such as Swagbucks as a way to make money online. And, while you won’t likely make a full-time income simply from surveys if this is something you do as a side hustle, you can certainly make a few extra bucks to supplement your current income. With Swagbucks, you can even submit pictures of your receipts to earn Swagbuck credits, so you essentially get paid for something you’ve already done.

If you want to get started with Swagbucks and start earning a few extra dollars every day, you can sign up for Swagbucks.

Other online survey programs can offer different or better benefits for joining their program. User Interviews is a bit different and isn’t so much a survey program as it is an interview-based program focused on market research for specific programs. With User Interviews, you can earn much more than most other survey programs, sometimes over $100 an hour, depending on the survey interview you complete.

They require that you complete a screening to determine if you are a suitable candidate for the interview, and then if you are they will contact you to schedule a time to complete the session, and then you get paid via gift cards and sometimes Paypal. Click here to get started with User Interviews.
